Who we are
Encounter church is a family, and a place to call home. We seek to love well and be a community that welcomes people from all walks of life and encourages them to embark on an adventurous search for the authentic faith. This is a place where questions are welcome and doubts are explored. We like to say that Encounter is not perfect, but it is safe. Whether you are someone who has never been to church, someone who is unsure what you believe, someone who thinks you are too messed up for church, or someone who has grown up in church- you are welcome here. So come on in, unpack your bags, welcome home.
Our Elders
Encounter church has six elders that prayerfully give direction and guidance to the church.
Our Mission, values, & beliefs
When the question was asked, “So, why church?” Eugene Peterson aptly answered, “The short answer is because the Holy Spirit formed it to be a colony of heaven in the country of death.” As Encounter Church we seek to embody human witness to and a tangible foretaste of the Jesus-inaugurated kingdom of God in this world as we help people find their way back to God.
Our Staff
Each part of Encounter Church is thoughtfully crafted and designed by our staff. Our desire is for each person to encounter God and a safe community through our Sunday worship services, small groups, and various events.
